Benefits Of Reflexology

For those who don’t know what to expect, the practice is based on hundreds of years of history (dating back to Egyptian tombs) the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet (hands and ears) correspond to all body parts and systems.

As the feet are worked there can be indications of soreness or tingling sensations, however, the work is not meant to promote pain.  Far greater results are achieved by the gentle guidance and workings of the foot.  The American Medical Association has noted that stress is the basic cause of more than 60% of all human illness and disease.  Relieving this built-up stress held in our body can significantly contribute to better health.  As a reflexologist, I cannot diagnose, prescribe or be used in place of needed medical treatment.  This is a complement to standard healthcare services.

This practice can be of great benefit as a preventative therapy.  By having sessions at regular intervals, the body enjoys a sustained balanced state of good health.  Some of the phrases clients have used following their treatment are:  invigorated, light, alive, relaxed, I can feel my entire body for the first time, it’s a massage from the inside out, my digestion improved, deep cleanse, restful sleep, and so much more.

"The root of all health is in the  brain. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together." -  Kurdish Saying

Reflexology can  assist in addressing all areas and systems in the body to work together naturally.
